This is a lovely "salty" service used example of a WWII Australian Issue Machete, often referred to as a Machete 15 Inch in Australian Army parlance. Correctly marked with a DD "Broad arrow" and dated 1945, these machetes are quite difficult to find on this side of the globe, especially with the original canvas scabbard. This machete is blade marked faintly with D (Broad Arrow) D with MP 44 underneath. The MP is the
