In bronze gilt, marked "MADE IN ETHIOPIA" and maker marked "B. A. SEVADJIAN" on the reverse, measuring 55 mm (w) x 79 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, very light contact, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Star of Ethiopia was instituted in 1879 by Negus Menelik of Shoa (later Emperor Menelik II) and awarded in five grades: Knight Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
