This is a very nice Victorian Era Pattern 1827 Royal Navy Officers Sword, with a lovely etched 28 1 4" inch long "Pipe backed" blade, also called the "Quill Back" or "key hole shape" (cross section) blade. The design is classic and very attractive. The sword features a solid "Gothic" style half basket guard, which bears the Queen's Crown over a "Fouled Anchor", the emblem of the Victorian Navy.
