A Merit Cross, III Class with Crown, in silver, a red enamelled cross featuring a large central medallion bearing the initials FJ, the reverse bearing the date 1849, cross surmounted by a hollow crown, measures 36. 6 mm (w) x 58. 4 mm (h inclusive of cross adorned ball suspension), marked on the ring with dog head denoting silver fineness and makers mark of BACHRUCH, BUDAPEST, worn on the original trifold
