This Sword is 45" in overall length and is truly magnificent and very early

Dating from the late 18th century 1780-1800 it is half stocked and carved with an impressive wooden trigger guard carved out of the stock blank at the time

These type of fittings (koshirae) are slightly simplified compared to the earlier Type 94. The blade tang is signed by the maker, and appears to be handmade in the traditional fashion.
