This short bodied single cell torch was designed for use in jungle theatres and when manufactured by the United States Electric MFG Corporation was marketed under the brand name, 'USALITE'. The battery is inserted through the bulb end and the domed lens is then screwed on. The torch is activated by turning the domed head which establishes a contact with the battery.
