A lot of five wartime Heer issue shoulder straps for Enlisted ranks, each constructed of field grey wool and bearing red embroidered regimental numbers, three trimmed with white piping, and one retaining a reverse paper label bearing a handwritten inscription of TAKEN AT ST. ELOI APRIL 1916 147 C. E. (corresponding to the Battle of the St. Eloi Craters, in which the 2nd Canadian Division was heavily engaged), of
