Mexican artillery officer General Manuel Mondragn is mostly known for his rifle designs around the turn of the 20th century. However he also is associated with this somewhat unique machete design, which is in the form of a very large "Bowie Knife", with a 16 1 4" blade. Designed more as brush clearing devices than actual weapons, there were many of these designed during the same era around the world. This design was
