This Straight razor, often called a "Cut throat razor," dates from before the First World War and was actually made in Solingen, Germany and marketed under the name of CARNOS and the cardboard carry case bears the British Registration number 42538, as well as New Process Razor. The razor has white "ovaline" imitation ivory grip plates with an inlaid CARNOS logo, and the blade is stamped BEST SILVER STEEL MADE IN GERMANY.
